You Are Machines User Manual (YAMUM)
Hi, lovelies. You have stumbled upon something quite sweet within this little site of ours... Our
very own magazine!
The 'You Are Machines User Manual' ('YAMUM' for short) details our excursions building and maintaining
our own corners of these internets. From what the team got up to, to creator interviews,
as well as some early peeks at upcoming projects and other cool art! (Exciting!!)
We dearly hope you enjoy reading through our zines, or at least looking at the cool pictures inside ;pp

Volume 3:
'Managing Upgrades'
June 8th, 2026
This Yam-Year we had some more things to manage both on and off site and we detailed a little of what we got up to this year. We had some time constraints so we weren't able to include as many magazine pages as we would have liked. We did, however, get some input from some of the more active users on Users' Playground with what they think of the site. Speaking of which, go make an account and let us know your thoughts on this volume! Split open the pages and see what the digital painter and poet Crois_Samt has to say about creativity through despondency. Also inside, an exclusive interview from the developer of DisillusionST and the Life Seeker games, Rick Tempest, as well as a couple pages detailing some of his characters designed by him for this volume!
Volume 2:
'Maintaining Your Machine'
June 8th, 2025
Our second year working on Yam was less progressive than we anticipated, and we found ourselves fixing bugs and maintaining what we had built of the site so-far. Though, we still had lots to share in this edition from our personal favourite Yam posts to our favourite websites elsewhere on the net, as well as some pretty big upcoming projects... Read some snippets of our interviews with our featured artist and game designer, Mitergear; Wrong Organ (Mouthwashing) composer, Martin Halldin; video game musician, Crisp; and YouTuber, Reject Convenience! (Wow!)
Volume 1:
'Setting Up Your Brand
New Machine'
June 8th, 2024
Originally inspired by LainZine.org, our first magazine details lots of what initially went into Yam's creation. Get some insight on Yam's name, logo, our stance on the internet, and some info on the team! We also have two interviews with our first featured artist from this year, ItsBadForYuh, as well as musician Vivian Grey!
